Prepare Your Heart

Today is Next Steps Sunday. We gather as a family to celebrate what God has done and to ask where He is leading us next. We will celebrate baptisms, connect people to Groups and Serve Teams, and help families discover opportunities to grow through our Midweek ministries. Through it all, our attention belongs on the One who gives the growth.

Pray

• Begin by thanking God for specific ways you have seen Him work at Steadfast.

• Pray for those being baptized today. Ask God to strengthen their faith and use their testimony to point others to Jesus.

• Pray for family members and friends attending because of a baptism. Ask God to use what they see and hear to draw them toward Christ.

• Pray for the gospel to be proclaimed clearly and for people to respond with repentance and faith.

• Pray for those considering a Group. Ask God to lead them toward relationships where they can be known, encouraged, and challenged.

• Pray for those considering a Serve Team. Ask God to help them discover the joy of using their gifts for others.

• Pray for families exploring Midweek ministries and for the leaders who will serve them throughout the Fall.

• Pray that people would not just attend today, but take whatever faithful next step God is putting before them.

• Pray for your One More. Ask God to give you courage to keep loving, praying, inviting, and speaking about Jesus.

As you worship today, look around. Every changed life is evidence of the grace of God.

One More

If your One More joins you today, stay close to them. Introduce them to people. Help them experience the welcome of Christ through the church family. If they don’t come, keep praying. God is not finished writing their story.
