WEEK THREE: DAY 15

Seek His Kingdom

“Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!”
Psalm 105:4

Welcome to Week Three

For two weeks we've been seeking the Lord together. We've prayed for our own hearts, our families, the next generation, and our life together as a church. Now we turn our attention outward.

Jesus has placed us in neighborhoods, workplaces, classrooms, teams, friendships, and families for a reason. The people around us matter to Jesus, and they matter to us. So this week, let’s pray with our eyes open.

Let’s ask the Lord to help us notice people, love our neighbors, show mercy, speak about Jesus, and live with courage. And we'll continue praying for our One More. We’ll ask that He would use us as part of the answer to our own prayer. Let's seek His kingdom together.

DAY 15: Love Builds Up

Today’s Bible Reading

2 Chronicles 29–31; 1 Corinthians 8

Focus Scripture

“Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.”

1 Corinthians 8:1

Prepare Your Heart

It’s possible to know what is right and still fail to love people well. Paul reminds us that Christian maturity is measured by more than what we know. Love builds up. Loving our neighbor means considering how our words, choices, and actions affect the people around us. Today, ask God to make our love for others more important than being right.

Pray

  • Thank God for the patient and sacrificial love He has shown you in Christ.

  • Ask Him to reveal places where pride, preference, or the need to be right has kept you from loving someone well.

  • Pray for greater sensitivity to the needs, struggles, and consciences of the people around you.

  • Ask God to make Steadfast a church known for both truth and genuine love.

  • Pray for Christians in our church as they interact with neighbors, coworkers, classmates, and friends who believe differently than they do. Ask God for conviction without arrogance and compassion without compromise.

  • Pray for your One More. Ask God to show you what it would look like to genuinely build them up through your words and actions.

One More

Encourage your One More in some specific way. Notice something good, express gratitude, or simply let them know you are thinking about them.
