WEEK TWO: DAY 11

You Are Not Your Own

Today’s Bible Reading

Isaiah 33-35; 1 Corinthians 6

Focus Scripture

“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

1 Corinthians 6:19–20

Prepare Your Heart

The gospel changes the way we think about our lives. Our time, abilities, resources, relationships, and even our bodies belong to the One who purchased us with His blood. Christian service begins here. We offer ourselves in service because in Christ, God has already given Himself to us.

Pray

  • Thank Jesus for purchasing you at the cost of His own life.

  • Offer yourself afresh to the Lord today, including your time, abilities, resources, plans, and priorities.

  • Thank God for the many people who quietly and faithfully serve our church week after week.

  • Pray for Steadfast Kids, Students, Groups, worship, hospitality, care, and our Midweek ministries as a new season begins.

  • Ask God to protect our volunteers from burnout and help them serve from joy rather than obligation.

  • Pray for people who have gifts they are not yet using. Ask God to help them discover where they can contribute to the good of His church.

  • Pray for your One More. Ask God to show you how your time and abilities might be used to love and serve them.

Before asking, “Where should I serve?” pray, “Lord, I surrender to You.”

One More

Look for one practical way to serve someone today without being asked and without expecting recognition.
