WEEK TWO: DAY 9
Perfect Peace
Today’s Bible Reading
Isaiah 26-29; Psalm 65; 1 Corinthians 4
Focus Scripture
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”
Isaiah 26:3-4
Prepare Your Heart
We will face uncertainty at times, but the Lord graciously gives us brothers & sisters to help us face it. Isaiah points us toward the source of lasting peace: a mind fixed on the Lord and a heart that trusts Him. One of the gifts of Christian community is helping one another remember what is true when circumstances tempt us to forget.
Pray
Thank God that He is an everlasting rock and can be trusted in every circumstance.
Bring whatever is causing anxiety or uncertainty in your life before Him.
Pray for someone in our church who is walking through a difficult or uncertain season.
Ask God to make our Groups places where people remind one another of His promises.
Pray for people carrying burdens they have not yet shared with anyone. Ask God to give them courage to let others walk alongside them.
Pray that Steadfast would be a family where people find encouragement, prayer, wisdom, and care.
Pray for your One More. Ask God to use the Christians around them to demonstrate the peace and hope found in Christ.
Who might need your help to remember God’s faithfulness today? Pray for them by name.
One More
Reach out to someone who may be discouraged or anxious. You do not need to fix their situation. Listen, encourage them, and remind them that they are not alone.
