“They shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn, that he has done it.”
Psalm 22:31

Prepare Your Heart

Psalm 22 begins in anguish but ends in confidence: He has done it. As Christians, we hear those words from the other side of the cross. When Jesus cried out, “It is finished” he meant it. He bore our sin, conquered death, and opened the way for us to know the Father. Today we gather with the saints to celebrate our great God & King who made salvation possible for us.

Pray

Thank Jesus for His finished work on the cross and the salvation you’ve received through Him.
Pray for our church as we gather today. Ask the Holy Spirit to make us attentive to God’s Word, joyful in worship, and eager to encourage one another.
Pray for those who will walk through our doors carrying doubts, wounds, shame, or questions. Ask God to meet them with His grace.
Pray for the gospel to be proclaimed clearly and for people to respond with repentance and faith.
Pray for those preparing to be baptized at Next Steps Sunday on August 30. Ask God to strengthen their faith and give courage to others who need to take that step.
Pray for your One More. Ask God to do what only He can do and make them new in Christ.

As you head to worship, go expecting God to work in you and in the people around you.

One More

Begin praying about when you might invite your One More to join you at Steadfast. Ask God for wisdom about the right opportunity rather than simply waiting for one to appear.
