Prepare Your Heart

A new school year brings new classrooms, new relationships, new expectations, and sometimes new fears. Jesus sends His disciples into an uncertain world with two great assurances: He has all authority, and He is always with them. Whatever you or your children face this year, nothing lies outside His authority and no place lies beyond His presence.

Pray

• Thank Jesus that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him.

• Pray for students beginning another school year. Ask God to give them courage to stand for Christ and wisdom to make godly choices.

• Pray for teachers, administrators, coaches, and school staff. Ask God to sustain them and give Christian educators opportunities to reflect Christ.

• Pray for college students who are beginning a new semester, especially those living away from home. Ask God to give them godly friendships and a church where they can grow.

• Pray for someone in our church who may be carrying unseen burdens. Ask God to remind them of His presence.

• Pray for your One More. Ask Jesus to place faithful believers in their life who will demonstrate and speak the gospel.

Picture the places you or your children will go today. Remind yourself that Jesus is already there.
