DAY 2
Tell the Next Generation
Today's Bible Reading
2 Kings 21; 2 Chronicles 33; Psalm 71; 2 Corinthians 3
Focus Scripture
"So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come."
Psalm 71:18
Prepare Your Heart
Faith was never meant to stop with us. The psalmist looks back with gratitude for God's faithfulness and looks ahead with purpose; to make Him known to another generation. Whether you're raising children, investing in grandchildren, mentoring younger believers, or simply living a faithful example, God delights to use ordinary people to tell His story.
Pray
Thank God for those who first shared Christ with you and modeled a life of faith.
If you have children at home, ask God to give you patience, wisdom, and consistency as you disciple them.
If your children are grown, thank God for His faithfulness in their lives and entrust your ongoing concerns to Him.
If someone you love has wandered from Christ, pray confidently that the Good Shepherd would pursue them with mercy.
Pray for the children and students you know at Steadfast Church as they begin a new school year. Ask God to help them grow in wisdom, courage, and love for Jesus.
Pray for your One More, asking God to place other faithful believers in their path as well.
Take a moment to thank God that He has been faithful in every generation, and He will be faithful in the next.
One More
Encourage someone younger than you this week. A short conversation, text, or handwritten note can become a lasting encouragement.
