DAY 8 | AUGUST 18

WEEK 2: BECOMING A FAMILY

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. - Ephesians 2:19

Discipleship isn’t meant to happen in isolation. We were saved into a family—not just a personal faith, but a people. This week, we turn our attention to what it means to belong to the church and to reflect God’s love in community. In a world of division, busyness, and shallow connection, the church is called to be different. We are called to love one another, carry one another’s burdens, speak truth in love, and build one another up. This week is an invitation to ask: Am I becoming the kind of family member God is forming me to be?

DAY 8 — AUGUST 18

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. - Galatians 6:10

Reflection:
Church is not just a weekly event—it’s a spiritual household. Family means we see and serve one another. The gospel creates a people marked by selfless love, not self-centered consumption.

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me to notice and meet the needs in my church family. Make me an encourager and servant.

Your One More:
Pray that your One More would experience Christian community as a place of compassion, not criticism.
